Listen

It's late and I can't sleep (again)...I am tired but my mind just won't rest tonight.
Last week I was supposed to see a friend, really she wanted to see me to say goodbye...when I got to her house, she had been taken into hospital so I didn't see her.  I phoned her husband today to see how she was doing as she came home on Saturday.  He told me she was slipping away...he phoned back later in the evening to say that she had passed away....she fought bravely and accepted her fate with such dignity.  
I don't know why I took this picture today...it sort of looked like the earth listening....I'm glad I spoke to my friend last week but saddened that I didn't see her....
