Walking the walls

Today I went to Chester. I had to buy some leads for my piano and as I had a voucher from a music shop in Chester I decided to have a day there.

I wasn't in the mood for shopping so had a walk along the town walls. A section of it was fastened off as work was being done but I went part way around in a very cold wind. This shot is where the walls go over one of the bridges that enclose the city.


On the train coming back a couple and a largish dog were across the aisle from me. The lady took a blanket from her bag and the dog jumped on her lap. She turned it over onto it's back and wrapped it in the blanket with just it's head poking out. She was then rocking and crooning to it to get it to go to sleep!
