breezy
It was breezy this morning when I was down on the esplanade - I park there to go to the sports centre where my bodypump class is held.
In fact, it was almost breezy enough to take off the car door when I opened it.
The wind got stronger in the afternoon.
It's cold too - snow up north and some roads closed this morning.
OK, that's the end of the weather report.
Bodypump was great - my first exercise for 10 days on account of my cold. A pleasant lunch with the instructor (an old friend) afterwards.
Work after that. No Monday disasters (mind you, it's only 5.15 so the day isn't over yet).
The Blip is the Falcon. She's a small, general cargo vessel. The cargo is probably grain as she's bound for Kirkcaldy Harbour - the flour mill I expect.
A couple of years ago the Scottish Government assisted the port authority and flour mill to re-open the harbour to cargo vessels. It takes lots of heavy trucks off the local streets. I remember seeing the number of road journeys saved and it was impressive. Money well invested.
I've heard talk of plans being resurrected for a hovercraft service from here to Edinburgh. It was hugely popular when they did a trial, but some petty politics from the local government in Edinburgh (one of their specialities) prevented it being put into action. Another operator is interested - one which is politically correct in the eyes of the Edinburgh politicos.
Today wouldn't be a good day for a hovercraft ride, mind you.
