The Road to.......
A final chance to get out for a walk around the farm before heading back home and the hope was to capture a sunset that seemed to have great potential - however it turned out not to be that great and so back to the farmhouse I headed.
As the light was fading by this point, I noticed the tractor tyre marks in the field and I loved the lines that it had created - heading straight of into the horizon (or the other side of the field at least!!).
Once back and viewing it on my computer screen, made me consider the work that farmers have to put in, in order for us to enjoy dairy products, fresh meat, or other staples from various crops that are grown!
A routine is followed, usually over the course of a year and the fruits of their labour are produced.
Often we take it for granted the work that our farmers put in - we expect our milk for our tea or cornflakes in the morning - or for there to be bread in the supermarket to be purchased and enjoyed - but what we often do not appreciate is the work that farmers have to do in order for us to enjoy this "fruit".
The labour can often be routine (and maybe monotonous) - but come harvest time - or even the daily milking of cows - the "Routine" of farm life can be enjoyed by so many!
Oh and yes....this will be my entry for this weeks Photo Challenge which funnily enough is entitled "ROUTINE" !!
