After 8 o'clock communion ......
..... I had time to reflect on today's sermon,
some people are getting away from the old
age thinking of ' giving something up ' for
Lent, and suggesting that we do a little extra
for someone, such as ... An errand,a chat, a
visit and generally giving a bit of our time.
I agree with all that, but it is also suggested
we give a hug to someone we don't know ....
.... I think if you went round the super market
doing this in today's climate, you would either
be arrested or carted off to the nearest psychiatric hospital or even worse acused of
child abuse!! So no I don't think that's a good
idea, however to reflect on our daily lives and
how we can improve is no bad thing, indeed
we could " Decluttering" our minds and leave
room for the things that matter to us.
1st Sunday in Lent
... time for reflection!
Love Lent and live life
