Sandstone screen.....

A photo carried forward from yesterday, because I think it's too beautiful not to use...

Bittoo and I visited the Asia rooms at the V&A yesterday and this sandstone screen was my favourite of the many on display from the time of the Mughal Empire in India in the 16th century. Such delicate carving providing privacy yet allowing air to circulate and cool a room.

I had coffee with a friend this morning, then returned home to prepare for a dinner party this evening. We cooked the main course, and the starter and dessert were provided by the other couples. Cuts the work load by two thirds!! 

Been thinking it's Saturday all day.....nice to know that is still to come!
