The Year of the Sheep
Into town today to have a wee trim, and a few blonde hightlights to hide the relentless march of grey in my hair.
My sister phoned to say did I want to meet her and Mum afterwards, as there was going to be a Chinese New Year festival in the town to celebrate the Year of The Sheep.
My appointment was at 11.45am, and on my way to the salon I snapped a couple of pictures of the Dragon Dance in the High Street. Just as well, because by the time I came out of the salon at 2pm, and met up with Marion and Mum, the Dragon had packed up and shuffled off, so they never saw him at all.
Still, we had a root around in Poundland, Primark, and one or two other places, and a coffee and toasted teacakes with Mum's pal Doris. Then we bumped into my niece Louise and had a bit of chat with her before all splitting up and heading homewards.
I do like a nice family Saturday!
