Going home

As forecast, the weather changed today and we awoke to flat, white skies, which is not great for skiing. Luckily we were going home today, and after a quick breakfast we left for Zurich Airport to get the flight home. No problems with the return flight, but Heathrow passport control was absolutely heaving, with long queues of people snaking around the roped off aisles all the way out of the hall. I have never seen it so busy before, I guess that is a consequence of going away at half term.

On the drive down to Zurich we stopped off briefly at a layby at Walensee where I took this photo. There was quite a wind with waves on the lake in the unprotected area outside of this alcove. Walensee is one of the larger lakes in Switzerland, about an hour from Zurich.

We picked up Murdoch on the way home from the airport and he was very happy to see us, as we were him. I have unpacked and Gavin has gone to the supermarket to get some food into the house.
