Finding our way around in Brugge
Day 4 - Belgium
Today was a really good day we went to Brugge and back on the bus - an excellent deal and practically door to door service.
Lots of visits - The pedestrian Sat Nav on a mobile is brilliant for this - as used above!
We went to the Groeninge museum which was a great collection of work created or commissioned locally. It included a couple of Brueghels and I bought a clip-file of this one which I intend to keep my school weekly plans on (the clip on the old one is broken and keeps shedding leaves everywhere)
We then went to Bruges Beer Museum which was very different - all very Hi-tech with tablets with QR readers with text, audio and video! The tasting afterwards was of course very important!
We had lunch in Mozarthuys Brasserie and Restaurant where we grilled our own meat or fish at the table on heated slabs of granite - great fun!
In the afternoon we went to the Friet Museum and learnt all about the exotic history of the humble spud and Alex had all our sample chips at the end!
'Home' to a very simple supper of soup...
