Bought a new toy !
Not the camera, but the lens. It is a Sigma 150-500mm, weighs about three times as much as the camera does and will live mostly indoors attached to the tripod and aimed at the bird feeder.
I know I said no more pics of starlings; but I needed to try this out at once and starlings were, of course, first on the scene. If you click this link
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/128592161@N02/16590815642" title="Starling by Valerie Kennett, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8580/16590815642_968fbb5abe.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="Starling"></a>
it will take you to Flickr and you will see a full frame, completely untouched pic of a starling taken this morning with the new lens at 500mm.
I am dead chuffed with it and looking forward to more pics of birds and, later on, butterflies I hope.
