Cornish Hedge

Is it a BackBlip if I only now take the pictures off the camera that I took earlier in the week? Ok. This was from Monday.

One of the things that epitomises Cornwall for me is the hedging, made from herringbone laid slate. I love the geometric design combined with the chaos of the textures within the stone and the greenery that grows on it. This one is quite new, but eventually will fill with windblown soil and take on a characteristic green and black appearance, towering either side of the narrow roads that obscure oncoming traffic and make driving in Cornwall so much fun.

My 17-55 f2.8 lens has come back from Canon. I'm planning to check it out over the weekend and make sure the 7D doesn't need defamiliarising with it, focus-wise.
