Back to School for Chinese New Year

Kung Hei Fat Choy!

The Year 4 class at my school are practising the Lion Dance for their Assembly item next week. The Lion above is a bit shy at the moment but I am sure that by next week he will be jumping around particularly if the Chinese drummers and cymbal crashers are in action. There are two Year 4 boys in the lion and they are posing very politely to have their foto taken. More fun to be in the head than the backside!

The two teachers had done a great job in decorating their classroom like a Chinese Restaurant with red lanterns and decorations hanging everywhere. It will be one of those themes that children won't forget. They were very excited!
