broadcast news

As I swing my arm I realise that people have been doing this for thousands of years.  OK - people have been doing lots of things for thousands of years - but sowing seeds by hand - broadcasting - is something that those of us in modern, urban environments, rarely do.

Last year’s work in the garden left an area of new lawn to sow.  I’d always planned to do it in the Spring but as we’ll shortly be away until mid-April and the sun is shining now, I decided to get out in the garden and give it a go.

The news of my broadcasting is soon broadcast to the local avian population and an LBJ (little brown job - aka Dunnock) is first on the scene.  A couple of sparring Robins are next, but I leave them to it.  The grass seed, like the rest of us, have to take their chances in life.
