Spoonbill feeding

I have taken many pictures of the spoonbills but I haven't yet blipped one of a spoonbill feeding. So here it is, running its great long bill along the seabed like a vacuum cleaner.

It was feeding right beside the track on my walk this morning so I couldn't turn it down. Most annoyingly, and without warning, it took off just when I had decided to change the settings and so I missed the opportunity to capture a spoonbill in flight.
