Fledgling

I did hope for a better picture but this will have to do. This little fella has appeared in the back garden. It's a fledgling blackbird and must have just come from the nest. It can't fly but it's being watched over by its mum who occasionally comes to feed it and the rest of the time tries to encourage it to follow her around. In the picture it's chasing her. Apparently its quite normal for them not to be able to fly for a few days after leaving the nest so hopefully it will be okay. There are plenty of hiding places and more importantly no cats.

Louis is not very well. He's not been eating. He had a school trip today and went swimming but there is something wrong when he doesn't eat the sweets Grandma buys him. Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow and hopefully his friend from school coming round to play will still be on. He has been so looking forward to it.
