Making tracks
Kevin made a big hole yesterday when he fell through the ice covering the koi pond. Poor guy! The pond froze over when we were away on the weekend, which can be harmful to the fish as an air hole is needed to ensure good air can be exchanged for bad gases. Mission accomplished! Although he was trying to make a hole in the ice, he was not planning on doing it quite that way.
My job today was to reopen the hole and check the aeration equipment. It has been very cold so it has been hard to keep the ice open. As there has been quite a lot of snow, it is getting pretty deep, so between Kevin and I we made tracks to, from and around the pond. The tracks on the left at the bottom of the pond are where Kevin dragged himself from the water back to the house yesterday.
