Modern Technology v The Beauty of Nature

Day 2
After heading back to the coast in the morning to pick up some food and drink for the week, we decided to go for our first decent walk - Deliana Gorge.

It was located just outside the village of Deliana which was situated just down the road from where we were staying.

A 2 hour walk to the end of the gorge and back - not too strenuous and very enjoyable!!

Amazing thing though - half way through the gorge my mobile rings - Its a mate from back home who is looking for a favour and the conversation goes something like this.....

Me "Hi Al"

Alistair "Hi Kenny. Just called to ask a favour...by the way your phone ring tone sound funny"

Me "Thats cause I am in a gorge somewhere in Crete"

Alistair "No way...... etc etc"

Modern technology - you can be the other side of the world and yet we were chatting if we were down at the pub..oh and for those interested and stay in the Edinburgh area....Alistair wanted to use a photo of the family to publicise this event..
