Ready to jump

This wee grasshopper came inside and was on one of our walls.  It didn't mind me flashing my camera in its eye - it just sat there.

One thing that I didn't know, which I found out from the many photo's that I took of this hopper, is that they have wings.  They aren't massive wings, but they must use them to help them move.  Interesting creatures.
