Sidney Sussex In The Sunshine

Today I picked up two of my grandchildren and took them into town to spend their pocket money. They always like to browse in FOPP, the music film and book shop and as I was waiting I noticed how striking Sidney Sussex College looked in the sunlight against such a blue cloudless sky. Then on to W.H. Smith where Joseph,10, bought a book about steam engines. He then said that trains were his main interest now instead of dinosaurs and wondered why he had collected so many. Then he came out with one of his classic remarks, " I suppose when I was small, I had a big, empty brain that needed filling up and dinosaurs were my favourite things then !
