Lonely Pigeon

I was hoping to get some nice photos of birds today but I think they all flew away when I appeared with my camera....
We have loads of pigeons near us as there are very tall trees in the grounds and I know they're not the most interesting bird to photograph but that's all there was...and there were only two of these about...
This one sat for ages on a roof across from where I live and he looked a bit lost and lonely...well I assumed it's a him I have no idea how you tell them apart!
It's my eldest son's 32nd birthday today and I spoke to him briefly on FaceTime this afternoon having commented that I could remember exactly what I was doing 32 years ago today...to which he replied...what?
He was a bit hungover so obviously not thinking straight!
We're both off to see the same film this afternoon, Jupiter Ascending...my husband is going under sufferance as he hates SciFi films but I quite like them, I hope it's ok or I'll never live it down...
