Bird Blip!

I have been wanting a bird blip for ages but birds always fly away from me! How do people do it? Is it just a case of having a super zoom lens? This is our very friendly local pet shop Indian Ringneck Parrot who sits outside when the weather is nice saying "szia" (hi) as you walk past. I only took one photo because the pet shop owner came out and wasn't sure if I was allowed to take photos. Next time I'll ask and try and get a better one. Edited to say that I checked on the internet whether his cracked beak is a problem but it seems that it's a bit like cracking a fingernail.

I had a very lucky/unlucky this morning as I completely slept through my alarm clock and woke up 4 minutes before the bell. I jumped out of bed like a ninja, threw on some clothes and ran out the door. Incredibly as I ran across the park outside my flat, my friend spotted me and 90 seconds later he had got his car and was next to me. I got to the classroom 2 minutes late and as my class was in another building alone which means you're normally late by the time you have walked there nobody was any the wiser. I must get more alarms clocks!

I had a standard morning at school then went to the supermarket to buy things for baking. As it's my birthday tomorrow I'm expected to take in some cakes for everyone in the staff room. This isn't a problem as would bake everyday if I didn't get fat. I promised myself I would only make one type but couldn't only restrict myself to 3. We've got peach melba squares, carrot cake and lemon and poppyseed fairy cakes. They are all favourites of mine so I hope they come out nicely and I keep some self control.

I'm going to do lots of work tonight so I can have a break tomorrow.
I've been so happy with all of my views and comments recently, thank you!
