Yiiipppeeee e e e e e

Strong (southerly) Kona winds freshened overnite and kite "flyers" were having a ball in Maunalua Bay.   Particularly liked this one as the black kite man was doing jumps over some other unlaunched ones walking on the reef to get out, while the orange kite was straight up stationary as one of the reef walking guys stopped for a chat.  At least that's what I think was happening. . . .   There was another colourful vignette of kites playing way out in the channel entrance, but they were further away - and airtime is always preferable to just white water slalom.

I had promised to take the full canoe - and I did - but now will have to go back next week - this was too exciting not to post today with the wind up.  Stay tuned . . . .
