Neighborhood chickens

Proof of the chickens! They are everywhere and the little family of chicks with their mothers are adorable. They tend to pick through the recently burned piles of trash and wisely hide in the shade during the hottest parts of the day. One of the first sounds that greeted me on my first night here after the call to prayer was of course the neighborhood rooster. I saw one taunting some chickens through a fence this afternoon and it was quite the little chicken drama.
