Morning donkey
Yet another one of those contrasts that you see daily. There are people driving expensive cars around, mercedes and what not (I'm not a car person, so the names escape me) and yet you will regularly see a donkey pulled cart along the side of the road. This man happily agreed to let me take his picture. I had been walking behind them for some time observing how he gently nudged the animal with his stick to steer in the direction he wanted to go. You could tell they had a good relationship, or that was the feeling he left me with. In contrast, I saw this young boy with a donkey that kept hitting the poor thing to run faster. The heat is unbelievable here, and unseasonably so even for this country...has the boy no awareness of the cruelty he is inflicting on the creature or is it revenge for his state in life? I am trying not to over think things too much ...but it’s difficult not to see through the eyes of the outsider.
