Six Bells

Billingshurst is a n historic little market town near Horsham, where we occasionally make a stop. The Six Bells stands on the old Roman road, Stane Street, now the High Street, just off the busy A272. It has a varied history as first, a farmhouse called Taintland. In medieval times, it was a coaching stop on the main road from Bognor to Horsham. It became a beer house in the 19th century and a public house in the 20th. Even on a gray wet day like today, it has an attractive look.

To date the Six Bells staff and customers have raised over £6,500 for MacMillan, for which I thank them.
