Wednesday, February 11, 2015 -- Shoreline

About 2:00 p.m. today we took the dogs for a walk on the sand. We had not been at the Cayucos beach since before this past weekend because it had rained Saturday and Sunday so those days we had walked to the beach lookout during a break in the rain. Then Monday we walked the pups in the Baywood Park community while we were there at the Farmers Market. Yesterday we walked on the sand at Cambria, just a few miles north of Cayucos.

So we were surprised today to see how rough the sand had become. It looks like it has all been tumbled in a cement mixer. The beach was littered with pebbles, rock chunks, and stones. We did, though, find several pieces of sea glass.
