Out For Lunch

Whenever I imagine what my future life will be like, one of the things I look forward to the most is going out for lunch with someone. I’m not really sure why, but I’ve always loved the idea of taking a break from your day, going to eat in a different atmosphere with someone who is having a normal day of their own, and then returning to your own separate lives. Even as I sit here writing this it makes me happy to know that lunch plans exist and I really can’t explain why I love it so much, but I always have. It just reminds me that everyone has their own life to live and you are the only one who is truly living it. No matter how close you get to a person, they are not you. They have their own memories and people that matter to them and they are on their own path. But you can still take a break from your day and meet up with a friend to share your life with them. You can look forward to lunch all morning and then reflect on it all afternoon. I know that there’s more important things to look forward to in life, and I know that lunch doesn’t seem like a very relevant thing to dwell on, but still. Lunch sounds great.
