The art of conversation

Beautiful start to the day down the beach this morning just as the sun was breaking over the horizon.
As you can see the Cockenzie chimneys are still there - due for demolition this year, sometime...

Aye, the art of conversation...
Just waiting for the bus to stop this evening on the way home and I overheard the guy behind me talking to a neighbour also waiting to disembark.
Guy1 - Hey good to see you, not seen you much lately.
Guy2 - nope.
Guy1 - so, you been working different hours recently? travelling a diiferent route?
Guy2 - yep.
Guy1 - so how are things?
Guy2 - fine.
Guy1 - and the family? all good?
Guy2 - yep.

I'd love to have heard more of this rivetting dialog but unfortunately I was going the other way.
I heard enough to detect that Guy2 just wasn't in the mood for a chat though :-)
