Cardiff Bay taken from Penarth.

This shot shows a large section of Cardiff Bay with Penarth marina in the foreground. The bay covers an area of 500 acres and is fed by two rivers, the Taff and the Ely. There are many watersports to be enjoyed here including yachting and water skiing. Loads of restaurants at the far side of the bay and a six mile cycleway around it. Just about dead centre of the blip is the millennium stadium.  There is also a large 20 acre wetlands reserve here providing a safe habitat for many species of birds, animals, fish and plants including some pretty rare species to boot. An unusual part of the equipment here is a floating vacuum cleaner which cruises round sucking up all the debris entering the bay from its two feeder rivers.
