Soak up the energy

I have mentioned that we had solar panels installed just over a week ago and this is the first time I have thought to record them in a blip, mainly because I usually don’t get round to consider blips until it is dark.

Today was a beautifully sunny day so it is rather fitting that I got a shot of the new installation before the sun dropped below the horizon.

Until yesterday, our electricity supply was on Economy 7, a throwback from the days of storage heaters, and we used to do most of our dishwashing, clothes washing and certainly tumble drying at night when the electricity was cheaper. With these panels, that is changing to daytime when much of the electricity will be free.
