Crossing to the Royal Festival Hall
Back up to London this afternoon, this time to see Transatlantic Sessions in the RFH. Dusk was falling as we crossed the Thames first for an early supper and later for the concert.
I've written about the Transatlantic Sessions before, we missed them last year so we were looking forward to seeing them this time. I bought the tickets last October and even by that time there were very few left.
The concert didn't disappoint, a wonderful collection of music from the folk, roots and country music of both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, played with skill, enthusiasm and no little enjoyment by all the musicians and singers. The audience had obviously come for a good time and we got it in bucketfuls. If you ever have the chance to see TS in the UK or buy one of their CDs or DVDs do it without hesitation.
