Tasman Bay

We started off this morning by heading into Nelson to visit WOW. It's a exhibition of wearable art that has established a national and maybe international reputation. The display was fascinating but difficult to represent in photographs as the movement of the displays seem very important. They look even better when worn by real models and dancers as in the video presentations. They also have an amazing collection of classic cars there all shown with stage lighting so they look so much better than the museum presentations we're used to. Out the back they also have a warehouse full of other cars that there's not enough room to display in the main hall. Several that I've owned, driven or that were owned by friends.

After lunch we went off to Rabbit Island, a lovely beach and just sat for a while, then had a paddle and a walk before heading back. I wasn't totally happy with any of them for my blip so after dinner this evening we drove in to Nelson again to shoot Arrow Rock (or Fifeshire Rock). I'd noticed a painting of the rock where we had lunch and wondered where it was. Then I noticed it as we headed along the road. The rock has the distinction that it sunk a couple of important boats coming in or out of Nelson Harbour. It looked quite good with the sun setting and a mist rising.
