Canal du Midi

Today we had the car. After a slow morning we took off with Ann and Joyce for Le Somail, a stopping point on the Canal du Midi. We wandered about, had coffee, and then walked along the canal taking in the beautiful scene. We walked about one and a half miles along the canal. Joyce took off on her own and the rest of us crossed a bridge where the canal ran over the stream below. This canal is man made and at this point it flows over a bridge. Ann and I painted for awhile and then we all walked back and visited a coop winery that was on the other side of the canal from our starting point. It was a long day and we arrived home quite late.
