Fanjeaux
From my journal: September 18, 2006
Most of us went to the caves at Niaux today. We drove through farm country stopping at Tarascon for coffee and then went up to the caves in the Pyrenees. There was a youth orchestra playing when we got there. The walk in the cave was quite long and really interesting. We needed lights to find our way. The cave drawings were amazing - 13000 BC. Afterwards we went to the fortified church of Vals. We then drove up to Fanjeaux where we climbed steep streets and talked to an older woman with two poodles. Home to group dinner and much conversation.
