Weary limbs and aching joints after yesterday's long walk resulted in a taking it easy sort of day, strolling around Salford Quays in the sunshine. There were lots of signs of mounting excitement as the Summer's great sporting festival approaches. I have read that the orgainsers and their sponsors are trying hard to protect the brand. Thus, anyone who uses, in public print, the name of the City where the Games are to take place together with the year in which they will be occurring, can expect a visit from the thought police.

So, today's blip has to be an oblique one. I took it from the bridge across to the Imperial War Museum, inside this interpretation of the five rings. There is a tiny bit of the IWM showing at the bottom of the shot.

I also could have blipped two less potentially tricky subjects, such as this detail of Media City or this one of some very stylish apartment buildings.
