Slab avalanches

We have had several fresh snow falls in the last few days. The mountain I photographed a few days ago in fresh snow looked less menacing than it does today with its classic slab avalanches down its north-west face.
We were keen to get out for another go on our skating skis and see if we could still remember all we were taught yesterday. We had the best part of the day, enjoying the relative warmth of the late afternoon sun.
