Not dead, but in a lot of pain!
This is my souvenir for cycling down the most dangerous road...I kind of love it!
So today my tired out body slept until noon! I love that feeling you get when you actually feel like you deserve to sleep in. I don't know whether it was all the biking I did yesterday or the change in climate during the cycle, or something else but I didn't feel too good at all today.
Danny motivated me to get up and get out to pick up our pictures and video footage of the death road from Gravity. For some reason I was really craving food like a burger king whilst we were out, I think it's cause with that sort of food you know exactly what you're getting...something salty, greasy and exactly the same as what you would get at home. So I stopped by and satisfied my craving.
I tried to work when I got back but just didn't feel up to it so I went to sleep for a few hours. This was exactly what I needed. Sharoll came up to the flat a bit later, I woke up and Carina and I went downstairs to her flat to benefit from the internet. We all sat and worked for a few hours, this was the most productive I had been in a while! After a few hours we awarded ourselves a break, well just Sharoll and I, and we went to the Irish for dinner and picked up a street burger for Carina who was all busied under with work.
When we arrived back we discovered that Earth Hour was approaching. It was from 8.30-9.30pm and you weren't supposed to use any electricity during this hour. We thought this was a great idea so we got to Sharoll's flat, got the candles lit and turned everything off. It was slightly depressing to see how lit up the rest of La Paz was but at least we were playing our part. We all took advantage of the electricity cut, darkness and tranquility by napping. It was glorious.
Carina and I woke and livened up as Sharoll's flatmates returned and Helena and Rodrigo came downstairs. Sharoll remained fast asleep. It only took half an hour or so before we got to experience and hear first hand the whale like sounds that come from Sharoll as she sleeps that the others had told us so much about haha. It was hilarious, we were literally in stiches of laughter in the kitchen. After a while Sharoll woke up and we had a great time imitating her strange sounds and joking about. Then it was back upstairs to work for a few hours before bed.
