An approaching storm?

It was sunny and bright for most of the day, and the snow from yesterday melted away quite quickly - there are a few spots still left on our lawn. I met a friend for lunch at a lovely pub in Clandon, and this is the view from the car park. The clouds were building up and getting darker, and yet the light on those trees was still quite golden.

Science history was made yesterday in the UK, when the House of Commons voted in favour of Britain being the first country in the world to permit IVF babies to be created using biological material from three different people to help prevent serious genetic diseases, the so called designer 'three parent babies'. It has been a very controversial decision with different views coming from scientists and the church, but it was an overwhelming majority vote and good progress for science.
