New Strip

Well its getting close to the cup final and still hoping to get tickets so I had bought this Limited edition Hearts strip back at the start of November which has two Hearts crests and a poppy with the word rember on it for Rememberance Sunday as for anyone that knows the history of Hearts Football Club will tell you that during the time of the first world war a recruitment for soldiers for the war effort was taking place at the Hearts vHibs match in Edinburgh and it was at this match that the whole Hearts team signed up en masse and joined what would be known as the Macraes Battalion along with players from Hibs and a few other football teams sadly around seven of the Hearts team died in the Great War but to this day at the Hearts Clock wreaths are laid to the sacrifice of these players and all others that fell during that time on 11th November every year since and on that day in the match versus Hibs Hearts ran out triumphant with a great victory over ther Edinburgh rivals sadly it would be there last ever derby victory for those that fell in the Great War.
