Snow and Shadows

Today is Ground Hog Day in North America when we all turn to the special ground hogs in special towns and cities to find out if they see their shadow, predicting an early spring or longer winter. Wiarton Willie an albino ground hog in northern  Ontario  predicted an early spring because he did not see his shadow today and he was right last year with his prediction so hope he is right this year. This little black squirrel did not see his shadow in the garden but did seem a little frustrated with all the snow we got over night!
