Kohlwanderung

A friend of mine celebrated her 50th birthday in true Lower Saxony style with a "Kohlwanderung"...which means hiking, pulling a small waggon with you for alcoholic supplies and finally reaching a pub where you enjoy cabbage and sausage. It was awesome to walk into the sunset and into the starry night. I have wanted to test my Nikon 800 for starry skies for some time, but there had always been to much light pollution. But here, in the Lüneburger Heide, the stars in the crisp winter night were superb and I am amazed how well this camera deals with ISO 2000.
