Blizzard
The choice of today's walk route was not a popular one with Mrs SJR.
Caley was really enjoying charging in to the drifts and seemed to be actually seeking out the deepest banks of snow to burrow in to, briefly bury his ball then recue it again.
There was constant snow blowing in the wind but the real bite was from the blanket of overlying powdery snow being whipped up in the gusts. I have encountered this many times but normally high in the mountains. We were all wrapped up well and no one felt cold but it was a bit stingy in the face when you had to walk directly in to it.
As we arrived back at the car it calmed down dramatically and the sun came out.
