The first day of February seemed a good time to feature these beautiful white tulips. They are caught in the rays of the rising sun in the conservatory and this picture shows them in situ with background patches of 'blue' snow in the shaded garden. I've applied an accentuated edges filter and given a slight Ortonish look. This comes from a slide-sandwich technique devised by Michael Orton and adds depth and richness, as well as some dreamy blurring. Dream on of spring's arrival soon!
