A Blip Meet

We had a mini-blip meet today in Largo, Florida. It was Lisa and I, Sefferdog and wife Jen, Dbifulco and husband Willie, Maura143, and CreativeCarol. Eight of us. Quite a group.

We went to a botanical garden, and to a nature preserve. A couple observations.

From the picture, notice the two people on the phone? TWO NON-BLIPPERS! GET 'EM A CAMERA!

You notice that there is a face shot of everybody but Debbi? SHE NEVER MOVES THE CAMERA AWAY FROM HER FACE!! HOW DOES SHE DO THAT?

I saw my first limpkin!! Woo-hoo!

I had met everybody before except Deb's husband Willie. He was both good and bad today. Since he was from this area, he was our caravan leader...we were following him. In the first parking lot, he pulled a U-turn, and Wade and I followed suit. But, he then kept turning in circles...must have been six of them. By the time he was finished, Wade and I were dizzy. And...later, when we confronted him on it...he blamed Debbi.

That was the bad. The good? His eagle eye spotted a milkweed plant full of monarch caterpillars. WAY TO GO WILLIE!

It was a fun day. I think I'll wait to post some pictures to Flickr. (I have to give up the computer to my birthday girl Lisa.)
