A Morning at Pleasure House Point
I went over to Pleasurehouse Point this morning. Although I saw a lot of birds, there were fewer waterfowl than I had expected. Dredging going on in Crab Creek may have had something to do with that. With the exception of ruddy ducks, hooded mergansers, and buffleheads, the majority of waterfowl there differed from those found at the southern end of the Western Branch. this greater yellowlegs is a wader I've not seen at the southern end.
There were large flocks of yellow-rumped warblers and other songbirds. It was hard to keep an eye on the water birds and the land birds, so I probably missed a lot of the latter.
