The Bird Reserve, Miranda, Firth of Thames, NZ

On this cold night I am writing up our first day's travel in New Zealand last March. For me this photo captures the incredible transition from the UK in March to the southern hemisphere's March - late summer. 

We were only an hour from Auckland and sea sick on jet lag but it was stunning.
