Hanging around...
It just occurred to me this morning as I stood bleary eyed under the hot water that a twelfth of the year has almost gone!
Well that's something to be cheerful about, isn't it? Most people find themselves suffering from the January blues after all the wild festivities. I have a good cure for that.
1. Don't go wild in the first place.
2. Find something more depressing than simply January.
Easily sorted!
I used to know someone years ago who used to divide the working week into tenths so he could say on a Wednesday evening that six tenths of the week was gone. He wouldn't have three fifths, preferring the bigger numbers in his fractions. He left the council years ago and became a driving instructor. I wonder if he still divides his week up in that same way....
Work was reasonably quiet today as I was trying to solve problems all day. I was partly successful and was happy to log off and have another go tomorrow. As you can see, my little black cap was hanging on the sunflower hearts much of the time and I only went out once to top the nuts up. It was freezing out there and I didn't hang around long!
It snowed and sleeted on and off all day never amounting to anything much.
That's it I'm afraid. Lamb chops tonight with mint sauce, peas and spuds followed by a big minty Magnum.
Track? I haven't heard this one for a while but I agree with it - People Are Strange
