A chilly and hungry day....
Seriously, it's turning into one of those weeks. When I'm not dozing off, I'm thinking about dozing off! Maybe this is my delayed hibernation?
Anyway, Wednesday is the day I reluctantly go into the office so on a morning which although didn't seem too bad first thing was quite chilly and windy by the time I went up to the council house with my McDonalds tea. Everywhere was in darkness when I approached my door but a shadowy figure suddenly appeared and I was pleased to see Andy from Stirling with his bunch of keys. I was really pleased as it was very cold and remarked that I had timed it perfectly. Andy replied 'No! I timed it perfectly!'
Well I wasn't going to argue and ran inside thanking him. It's always nice to hear a Scottish accent first thing in the morning anyway!
Our new Oracle contractor from Ghana arrived half an hour later and introduced himself saying he had heard all about me and that he had heard I live in Ayr and only visit the office once every couple of months! Great! I think I'll start doing that soon!
I'll whistle through the rest of the day as I have started waffling already.
1. A meeting at 9am with Stuart and Jillian from HR on the second floor with a marvellous cup of tea exactly as I requested it - very strong with a tiny splash of milk - with biscuits. Oh! We discussed absence reports for Solihull Community Housing.
2. Missed a team meeting as I couldn't find the room which was quite tragic but I'll get over it.
3. Gigantic cheese salad baguette with extra onions and spicy chicken crisps from the Fat Sandwich for lunch.
4. Chased up help desk calls and cleared 4!
5. Went home feeling hungry.
6. Fed birds.
7. Decided I wasn't hungry ever again after hearing what someone else had eaten today.
8. Had sausages (Richmond Irish Thin), cauliflower cheese, spuds and large minty Magnum.
That's it!
