Chains

The one on the right is 12 months old, the one on the left is the replacement.
Shimano have changed the plating on their chains and the right hand one is the "new" matt silver design - not a cheap chain I assure you.
It went rusty on the first wet ride and has been generating black gunk on the sprockets (which are also the "new" matt silver).
For the Condor I have purchased a new chain (more expensive of course) that is shiny silver which is hopefully more corrosion resistant. The rear sprocket cluster has also been changed to shiny silver.
Let's hope a little less of the black gunk will be the result.*
