Chicken And Egg

I don't know if it's really ethical to feed chickens their own eggs but they seem to like them. I was putting the shopping delivery away last night and as I put it in the cupboard, a 4 pack of tinned tomatoes imploded and a can fell straight into the egg basket, smashing most of the eggs. Apparently the protein is good for the chickens but it's not a good idea to encourage them to be egg-eaters. Just feels a little carnivorous to me.
